From there, a short walk takes you into the heart of the forest, where the Obertoggenburg forestry operation provides exciting insights into logging, forest management and wood utilisation. You can return comfortably by train or on foot to Unterwasser Valley Station, where further ‘wooden’ attractions await you – including an impressive chainsaw carving show.

The signposted ‘Weg des Holzes’ (Wood Trail) takes you on to the main location at the Andreas Bischof GmbH carpentry and sawmill in Unterwasser Valley Station. There, experts from the timber industry present their professions, machines and projects.
