Spend an unforgettable evening with your friends and family in the Café-Bar at Unterwasser station. As you do not have to hire the event location exclusively, this offer is perfect for small to medium-sized groups of up to 25 people.
Your group will enjoy three types of appetisers to fortify themselves for a great birthday party. If you would like a specific birthday drink or even a cake service, this can be added to the package. To make it clear who is part of your party, your guests will receive a wristband and all drinks can be added to one bill, so you don't have to worry about a thing on the evening.
Would you like to celebrate longer than midnight? You can extend the offer until 1.30 a.m.

A DJ will create the right atmosphere from 6 p.m. to 1.30 a.m., and the event technology will show your guests in their best light. Because celebrations make you hungry, your guests will enjoy five different appetisers, which can be expanded with midnight snacks with the upgrade options. You will receive personalised support during the planning stage and at the party itself, and enjoy an evening that is tailored entirely to your needs.
On request, the offer can be expanded to include, for example, a drink created exclusively for you and a personalised message on the screens at Unterwasser station to welcome your guests.
As this offer is available for groups of 25 or more, it is ideal for birthdays that are to be celebrated in style or for exuberant parties – exclusively with your circle of friends.

Your Event Location in Unterwasser
World-class Architecture
The Café-Bar is located in the west wing of Unterwasser Station, the valley station of the funicular. The building was designed by architects Herzog & de Meuron and opened in winter 2024/25. The Café-Bar welcomes you with a cosy atmosphere, characterised by wood with comfortable benches and an inviting sun terrace.
Food & Drink
Like the other restaurants in the Chäserrugg area, the Café-Bar attaches great importance to local products from Toggenburg, creating delicious finger food that combines local and distant flavours. The drinks menu also offers a variety of options, from classic Kafi Luz to Espresso Martini and non-alcoholic drinks.
Location & How to get there
With a large parking lot directly at the Unterwasser station and a post bus stop in the immediate vicinity, the Café-Bar is easily accessible for your guests. From St. Gallen or Zurich, it takes about an hour to get there.
