Out and about with children – in addition to the children's area of the ski school on the Iltios and in Alt St. Johann, our family-friendly slopes offer fun in the snow for everyone, even beginners. Chäserrugg, the family-friendly ski area of Eastern Switzerland.
The Iltios Snow Kids Village
On the sunny and clear high plateau of the Iltios your children are in good hands. A team of trained ski and snowboard instructors introduces your child to snow sports in a playful and didactically professional way. Thanks to the competent supervision, even the youngest children make rapid progress. The Swiss Snow Kids Village can also be used without the ski school and an admission ticket can be purchased at the ski school office.

Admission Snow Kids Village

Please note that the Kids Village may only be used for skiing and snowboarding. Children and accompanying persons must wear ski or snowboard equipment. Pedestrians have to stay behind the barrier.
Sledging and picnicking are prohibited in the Kinderland. Smoking is strictly forbidden in the entire Kids Village.
The Alt St. Johann Snow Kids Village
The Snow Kids Village in the village of Alt St. Johann is easily accessible and offers children ideal conditions to enjoy themselves in the snow. With professional supervision, the children learn to ski in a playful way at three different lifts with different skill levels. The child-friendly Swiss Snow Kids Village can also be used without ski school courses and an admission ticket can be purchased at the ski school office.

Big jumps start out small! In the child-friendly snow park at the Iltios practice lift there are many different elements that offer variety for enthusiastic and curious young visitors. Not only the small but also the big freestylers can venture out at the snow park for the first time. Parents and grandparents can watch the children having fun from the sun terrace of the Iltios Mountain Restaurant and enjoy the family-friendly atmosphere.

The Ruestel Cross
With its wild waves, deep hollows and the steep wall curves, the Ruestel Cross is the perfect place for an adventurous challenge. After a first leisurely sightseeing tour, young skiers can increase their speed and test their skills and reaction times. This coordinative training is great fun and a real buzz for young and old.

The Forest Run
After a few days of practice in the Snow Kids Village, you will be ready to set out on your first family ski trip to the area. From the gondola lift you will be able to enjoy the panoramic view and with a little luck you might even be able to catch a glimpse of chamois or snow hares. Once you arrive at the Stöfeli, you ski back to Iltios towards "Schwiloch" on the wonderful Forest Run. A slope in the middle of the fairytale forest that allows you enough time to enjoy your wonderful surroundings.

The Schwendi Run
The traditional and child-friendly Schwendi Run leads over easy terrain to Espel and then down to Unterwasser. There is a lot to discover along the way – the Espel Pavilion with the best hot sandwiches in the area, typical Toggenburg farmhouses and the famous home stretch below the old ski jump to the valley station of the funicular. Everyone who manages the Schwendi Run is ready to tackle the Chäserrugg.
