The extraordinary wedding venue on the mountain
You and your wedding guests ride on the funicular railway and cable car lifts from Unterwasser to reach the Summit Restaurant, which can be made private in whole or in part for you. You can look in wonder at the spectacular panorama from the terrace or Tenn while enjoying an aperitif. The restaurant, which has space for up to 240 guests, has an inspiring choice of refined cuisine. From a relatively informal buffet to a 6-course menu, our team prepares everything using high-quality and regional produce. We would be delighted to supply your wedding cake too.
Technical equipment for music and any kind of presentation can gladly be made available. The Alpzimmer room can be set up as a quiet space in which to withdraw. It would give our highly experienced events team great pleasure to assist you in the choice of decoration, table arrangements and programme for your wedding celebration.

Wedding party “Oh la la”
Toast your love with an aperitif on the terrace, where bar tables and seating invite your guests to linger a while. Afterwards we will treat you to a carefully selected 4-course menu in our banquet hall, before you cut the delicious wedding cake. During your celebration, the whole building is made private for you and your wedding guests.

Wedding Celebration "Eternal Love"
Celebrate your wedding at 2,262 metres above sea level in the unique Chäserrugg mountain-top restaurant designed by Herzog & de Meuron. The ‘Eternal Love’ wedding package has it all: a welcome drink in the valley, an outdoor wedding ceremony on the Rosenboden plateau, a champagne reception, a four-course meal with wine, the wedding cake, a DJ and a midnight snack – so that on your special day, you need think of nothing but each other.

Information
Location visit
We would be happy to arrange an appointment with you to view the venue. During the tour, we will show you the Summit Restaurant, the Alpzimmer and the areas surrounding the restaurant. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
Please book your cable car tickets directly online (Chäserrugg Ticket) or purchase them at the cable car ticket office.
Provisional reservation of wedding date
If you liked it with us, we will be happy to provisionally reserve a desired wedding date. This provisional reservation is valid for 4 weeks.
Preparation of a non-binding quotation
With the provisional reservation we will send you a non-binding quotation with possible course of events, menu suggestions and beverage prices.
Planning
Confirmation wedding date
After you have confirmed the reserved date, we will arrange a date with you for the tasting. This tasting will take place no earlier than 3 months before the actual wedding day. For the tasting, please select in advance a meat-based menu and, if applicable, a vegetarian menu that you would like to try.
A deposit of CHF 1'000 is required to confirm the booking. Please note that this deposit is non-refundable in the event of a subsequent cancellation on your part.
Rehearsal dinner on the summit
At the rehearsal dinner, we will work with you to finalise the menu and drinks, your preferred schedule for the day, and all other details. The rehearsal dinner is also the perfect opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
The rehearsal dinner as well as the train rides are free of charge for 2 persons.
Booking & Table Plan
After the rehearsal dinner, we will send you a final confirmation setting out the requests and arrangements made during the tasting.
You will also receive a seating plan on which you can enter the names of your guests.
Get married
One week before the wedding
At this time please tell us the definite number of persons ( + / - 2 persons). This number is binding.
The wedding day
Just bring suitable weather, we have taken care of everything else.
The day after
On the day after the big party, the material can be picked up at the valley station in Unterwasser from about 09.00.
Included in the price are the ascent and descent of the guests as well as the transport of flowers and entertainment equipment. Three to four time slots are defined in advance for the possible descent of the guests. The last possible descent is at 02:00 in the morning.
The material for the party can be handed in at the valley station by 15.00 the day before and will be transported to the summit by the team.
The goods will be collected by staff during the night. The items can be collected from Unterwasser Station from around 09.00 the following day. Please take any valuables with you on the train down to the valley.

Weddings at Chäserrugg can be arranged for groups of between 50 and 250 adults (children are not included in this figure). The final number of guests must be confirmed no later than one week before the event and will be invoiced accordingly.
The prices quoted apply to adults aged 16 and over and include the train journey. A separate children’s ticket is available, and the train journey is charged according to age. You can find detailed information under ‘What is included in the train journey?’.
So that we can optimally coordinate the course of the event and guarantee you a smooth service, please let us know if you plan to take breaks during the meal for speeches or performances. Ideally, you should only schedule large breaks after the main course.
From midnight onwards, a surcharge of CHF 700 will be applied for each additional hour. The latest possible descent is at 2.00, regardless of the package chosen.

The rehearsal dinner will take place no earlier than three months before the wedding date. The train journey on the day and the rehearsal dinner are free of charge for the bride and groom-to-be. All other guests will be charged CHF 80 for food and drink, and the train journey will be charged at the standard rates.
The schedule will also be fine-tuned at the rehearsal dinner.
Drinks like wine, beer, elderflower syrup, orange juice, prosecco and champagne are included during the aperitif, before or after they will be charged. Opened wine or mineral bottles from the aperitif can be used afterwards for dinner.
The suggested menus offer a taste of the creative mountain cuisine at Chäserrugg. We are happy to accommodate any special requests. You can choose between a set menu, a buffet, or a combination of both.
The wedding cake will be designed in consultation with the Abderhalden Wattwil patisserie to suit the bride and groom’s wishes – delivery and transport to Chäserrugg are included. If you do not wish to have a wedding cake or would prefer to arrange this yourself, a reduction of CHF 5 per person will be applied to the quoted price.
The floral arrangements can either be organised through Chäserrugg or arranged independently – in both cases, Toggenburg Bergbahnen AG will handle transport to the summit. If you are bringing your own decorations, please note the following table dimensions:

The building is open to day visitors until 17.00. Privatisation of the summit building is possible from 17.15. From approx. 15.00 , the team will start preparations in the banqueting hall.
On the Rosenboden plateau, benches with covers can be set up for an outdoor wedding ceremony, which is already included in the packages. The ‘Eternal Love’ package also includes a wedding arch and floral decorations for the ceremony. Additional transport to the Rosenboden that is not included in the chosen package will be charged at CHF 80 per staff member per hour.
In the event of uncertain weather conditions, the Alpzimmer on the first floor of the Herzog & de Meuron Summit Building is available as an atmospheric alternative
All packages include the basic technical equipment:

If you wish to bring your own wine, a corkage fee of CHF 40.– /0.75l bottle will be charged to cover the service and the use and washing of the glasses.
There are plenty of parking spaces available at the valley station in Unterwasser. Parking is subject to a charge – as the celebrations will continue into the night, we recommend purchasing a 24-hour permit, which can be easily arranged via the Parkingpay app.

Chäserrugg is situated in the heart of a sensitive mountain landscape. Out of respect for nature and the wildlife in this alpine landscape, the following are not permitted:
