Architectural Excursion to the Summit

Take the cable car and funicular railway to the summit at 2,262 metres above sea level and enjoy the breathtaking view of 500 peaks in six countries and down to Lake Walen. Hikers have the opportunity to discover the rare and charming variety of alpine flowers on an easy trail on the Rosenboden plateau.
You can enjoy a break together in the Summit Restaurant designed by Herzog & de Meuron. Our sophisticated summit cuisine uses local products and offers you surprising culinary moments on the mountain.

Hiking on the Sound Path
Start your trip in Alt St. Johann and take the chairlift to Alp Sellamatt. This is where the Sound Path trail begins, leading you to the Iltios mountain restaurant. This section of the Klangweg trail (Alp Sellamatt – Iltios) is wheelchair and pram accessible.
You can then enjoy lunch at the Iltios mountain restaurant or on its sun terrace.

Winter Hiking Day on the Chäserrugg
The circular trail at the summit of Chäserrugg takes you across the entire Rosenboden plateau and surprises you with its view of Lake Walen and over 500 mountain peaks in six countries. During this leisurely hike, you can actively relax and enjoy slowing down at 2,262 metres above sea level.
