Toggenburg Mountain Market on the Iltios

Discover the gastronomic treasures of Toggenburg during your visit at the BergMarkt on the Iltios. The local producers will give you an insight into their qualitative production and the diversity of their traditions at various stalls. Discover cheese, meat and breads from the region in a welcoming atmosphere.

After the Toggenburg Mountain Market has met with so much enthusiasm in recent years, it will be held twice this summer. On Sunday, 14 July and Sunday, 1 September 2024, Iltios will be the meeting place for all gourmets and foodies! Stroll from stall to stall and experience first-hand the wealth of delicacies Toggenburg has to offer. Cheese dairies, bakeries, butchers or distilleries present exquisite products, full of aroma and flavour, and you have the chance to meet the people behind the products.

Due to the new builded valley station during Summer 2024, a bus will take you from Unterwasser to Iltios. The bus departs every 30 minutes or depending on the number of guests. The departure location and ticket offices are situated in the parking lot of the old valley station in Unterwasser.

Depending on the number of people, waiting times could be long, therefore we recommend to take the chairlift from Alt St. Johann to Alp Sellamatt and then hike to Iltios via the Iltios - Alp Sellamatt connecting route.
