Themed Group Outing

A day trip to the Chäserrugg area combines impressive nature, regional culture and culinary delights into a harmonious group experience. The programme begins with the ascent and descent, followed by lunch at the Summit Restaurant. Groups of 10 to 20 people can choose from the à la carte menu, while groups of more than 20 are served a carefully prepared 3-course meal.

A special highlight is the introductory course in natural yodelling: participants gain an insight into the centuries-old singing tradition of the Toggenburg region and have the opportunity to try out their own voices as a team. The course creates space for shared experiences and strengthens team spirit in a melodious way.

The entire programme takes around 3.5 hours. Optionally, the yodelling course can also be held in the Klanghaus – this should be expected to take around 1.5 hours longer.

The Chäserrugg area offers a wide range of options for groups who want to combine nature, exercise and shared experiences. Enjoy the wonderful Alpine garden on the Rosenboden plateau: at over 2,200 metres above sea level, a variety of unexpected flowers grow, creating a colourful explosion of colour after the snow melts. With a little luck, you may encounter a colony of ibex during your hike. Even from the cable car, you can observe the geological rock formations, evidence of the forces that created the Alpine chain. Nimble chamois also greet you from the slopes of the Chäserrugg.

The sporting programme begins with a hike from Iltios to the Chäserrugg. Depending on the route, the ascent takes at least three hours and leads through an impressive pre-Alpine landscape. After the hike, participants enjoy lunch at the Summit Restaurant before taking the cable car back down to the valley. The entire trip takes around six hours.

Those who prefer a more relaxed pace can take the train from Unterwasser to Chäserrugg. From there, a short hike follows along the Blumenweg – a themed trail with information boards about alpine flora. During an approximately one-hour guided tour through one of Europe's highest natural flower gardens, participants learn fascinating facts about the characteristics and significance of the native flora. This programme also includes lunch at the summit restaurant. Allow around 3.5 hours for the train journeys, the guided tour and the meal.

Groups of 10 to 20 people are served à la carte, while larger groups of 20 or more are served a carefully composed 3-course menu. Train tickets are available at group rates.

The Chäserrugg offers a unique venue for seminars, ideally combining concentration and vision. On the first floor of the Summit Building, a cosy Alpine room is available as a seminar room – with views of the surrounding mountains and space for up to 40 people.

Seminars on the Chäserrugg can be complemented with a suitable supporting programme: whether it's a guided tour of the architecturally outstanding Summit Building with insights into sustainable construction or an inspiring introductory course in natural yodelling – both offers bring variety and new energy to the seminar day.

A two-course menu with various options is served for lunch. Optionally, the offer can be supplemented with snacks during the day. Train tickets are included in the seminar offer.
