Espel Pavilion

In winter you can enjoy real Toggenburg tarte flambée on the spacious sun terrace of the Espel Pavilion or, when it rains or snows, a hot soup in the cosy restaurant. The newly built Espel Pavilion by Herzog & de Meuron is located very close to the valley station of the Stöfeli Lift and invites you to linger with its beautiful, sheltered location and deckchairs.

Enjoyment at the edge of the piste

Local products from the Toggenburg region are the foundations of the culinary specialities. Enjoy the only real Toggenburg tarte flambée with Mostbröckli smoked meat and Alpine cheese or with Tannenschössli Latwerge syrup! Delicious desserts such as cream slices, walnut peaks and Schlorzifladen cake as well as a whole range of cold and hot beverages leave nothing to be desired.

Architecture

With its wooden architecture, the Espel Pavilion blends seamlessly into the landscape. The untreated wood weathers with the seasons and therefore with time starts to resemble the surrounding stables and barns. The typology of the pavilion is similar to that of the summit building, but on a different scale.
